Well I went to work and I found my desk
All cleaned up out of its usual mess
And sittin' there alone in the middle was a little sign
It said "We've taken this job away from you
Because you're irresponsible and lazy too
Come to the office directly to collect your time"

Well me and the boss, we argued for a while
And it made him scream to see me sit and smile
While he was painting a picture of my future that was dark as can be
And when he finished his fumin' and stompin' about
I was laughin' and clappin' "Hey I'm finally out
Now the Good Lord and the government are gonna look after me...."
